POSITION: Part-Time Front Office Assistant for our Integrative Holistic Medical Practice.
HOURS: 25 hours/week. Monday - Friday; 8am - 1pm
BENEFITS: This position is eligible for Paid Time Off benefits only since it's under 30 hours/wk. Please note that our full-time positions do include medical, dental, and vision insurance. While this job posting is for a part-time position, there may be opportunities for this to grow into a full-time position in the future.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Physicians HolisticHealth Alliance is seeking a part-time Front Office Assistant who is:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: High School diploma or equivalent.

As for your daily work, you will be the primary receptionist & perform a variety of medical administrative duties listed below.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet patients and visitors professionally, with a smile on your face and “in your voice”.
- Answer incoming calls, document detailed messages, and accurately direct calls to appropriate team members.
- Schedule patients for appointments within appropriate time parameters.
- Route incoming faxes to appropriate team members.
- Process incoming electronic forms.
- Scan in patient records and upload them to patient charts.
- Assist team members with patient communication to help facilitate the coordination of care.
- Invoice services; and collect and post payments for services rendered.
- Verify patient insurance coverage for pre-certification, referrals and/or authorizations.
- Apply knowledge of general insurance coverage to assist patients and billing service with questions regarding patient accounts.
- Actively engage in team meetings so that we continue to grow in living out our values and operating smoothly as a team.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations using critical thinking skills.
- Cross train in other positions where appropriate as determined by manager.
- Exhibit computer systems knowledge and proficiency as necessary to perform job functions.

- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines set forth in office policies and procedures.
