Job Description
General office clerks assist Southwire Company business units, and other staff as assigned, in the daily management and operations of offices.
Task and Responsibilities:
- Utilize educational background, organizational skills, and communication skills in providing financial support and spending analysis for Engineering & Modernization.
- Communicate verbally and in writing to various levels of internal and external personnel, as deemed appropriate, with a high degree of professionalism.
- Submit Order Request for Modernization Team.
- Provide support for variance analysis and account reconciliations.
- Work with Smartsheet and internal business intelligence team on MOC connector and data transfer.
- Support the Modernization team with Document Control.
- Assist in preparing monthly reports for Modernization.
Requirements:
- Working to obtain or study toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field of study (preferred).
- Ability to work at least 25 hours per week.
- Must be comfortable multi-tasking.
- Must be highly organized with an ability to stay in the detail.
- Must have strong interpersonal abilities, the ability to get along with diverse personalities, and be tactful, mature, and flexible.
- Must have good audible, written, and verbal communication skills, a high degree of personal integrity, discretion, attention to detail, and strong investigative skills.
- Must be able to display initiative and accept responsibility for assigned tasks under minimal supervision.
- Must have a problem-solving mindset and eager to learn.
- Ability to proactively identify problems and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
