Essential Job Duties
- Prepares the proper amount of each food item on the menu to serve the projected attendance.
- Records food used in meal preparation.
- Oversees the counting of donations following agency policy.
- Works cooperatively with and supervises the Nutrition Assistant and volunteers.
- Recruits volunteers as needed to help in the kitchen.
- Records serving temperature of foods.
- Observes and enforces all safety and sanitation rules and agency procedures.
- Attends scheduled meetings and training.
- Provides input to Nutrition Coordinator on menu ideas.
Requirements/Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques and related tools/equipment to accomplish the basic function of this position, including any safety and/or legal requirements. This may, but not necessarily, include specialized skills.
