Job Description:

An esteemed culinary establishment led by a seasoned culinary professional with over 30 years of experience, is in search of a motivated and passionate Prep Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an entry-level individual eager to learn and grow in a start up and professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Preparation and Organization:

   • Execute basic kitchen tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
   • Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
   • Assist in the preparation of dishes according to our recipes and standards.
   • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure efficiency.

2. Knife Skills:

   • Develop and refine knife skills under the guidance of our experienced chefs.
   • Learn proper techniques for cutting, slicing, and dicing various ingredients.

3. Training and Learning:

   • Work closely with the Executive Chefs to absorb culinary knowledge and techniques.
   • Receive hands-on training in various cooking methods and styles.
   • Gain exposure to a diverse range of ingredients and cuisines.

4. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food preparation.
   • Communicate effectively with team members to maintain a positive and cohesive working environment.

5. Safety and Hygiene:

   • Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen.
   • Follow proper food handling and storage procedures.

6. Professional Growth:

   • Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from an Executive Chef who is also a dietitian and food scientist.
   • Receive mentorship to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
