JOB SUMMARY
Orchard is seeking a Part Time Claims Administration Assistant to help our growing company get money back to more people who had a foreclosure. The position requires 2-5 years of experience, the ability to work with clients, and an ability to assist our legal team. Training will be provided, and the role can be hybrid in-office or entirely remote for the right candidate. Orchard is a family-owned business based in St. Louis, Missouri (and with an office in Mesa, AZ). We help people who had a foreclosure get money back they didn't know they had access to [NOTE: We are a different company than the "Orchard" listed on Indeed as being headquartered in New York.]
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Client Management and Follow Up
- On-board new clients, build trust, and orient them to the process that we will guide them through to get a refund from their foreclosure
- Act as point contact for clients with questions and help troubleshoot issues
- Collect required information/documents from clients (e.g. birth / death certificates, proof of address, or other papers for probate)
- Work with clients to identify relatives who might also be entitled to funds, when applicable for cases involving a deceased relative
- If necessary, help Claims Manager prepare disbursement papers for clients to review and confirm the size of the check they will be receiving
- Send clients testimonial forms and encourage clients to send back reviews
- Help ensure testimonials and photos get posted to the Orchard social media
Assist Orchard’s Legal Team
- Join weekly calls with Orchard’s attorneys to provide updates and plan next steps
- Help manage Orchard’s attorneys and communicate questions as needed
- Research real estate deeds online and send attorneys necessary documents
Assist with Marketing Materials (if local to Mesa, AZ)
- Assist Claims Manager in assembling/posting letters to mail to potential clients
- Monitor inventory levels of fliers, folders, etc. and assist in reordering
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 years of work experience in the legal, client services, or real estate field (preferred)
- General familiarity with the probate process (preferred)
- Experience working with attorneys or with legal processes (preferred)
- Comfort with speaking to clients on the phone
- Familiarity or interest in real estate
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Authenticity and ability to win people’s trust
- Detailed oriented and able to keep both digital and paper files organized
- Positive and upbeat attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
