We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant to join MRI Management located at 1504 Hardeman Ave A, Macon, GA. 31201.
Job Summary: The Accounting Assistant is primarily responsible for providing accounting and administrative support in a variety of areas within the Accounting Department, including recording transactions, maintaining records and spreadsheets, processing incoming payments, paying invoices, researching errors, reconciling entries to the general ledger, etc. Also responsible for interacting with internal staff and/or external vendors to answer basic accounting questions and resolve problems in support of MRI Management’s network of Diagnostic Imaging Centers.
*This position is in the accounting department having an active role in the monthly reporting, analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projections and requires a person who is enthusiastic about their position and has a can-do attitude to being successful.*
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2 year's of experience in bookkeeping
- Experience working with Peachtree Accounting Software a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Accuracy & Dependability – able to complete assignments with a high degree of accuracy, reliable in meeting work deadlines, willingness to take on additional assignments.
- Organization & Time Management – able to work under general supervision; able to take initiative, plan, schedule, and organize tasks and activities within tight deadlines; able to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Analytical Problem Solving – able to research, analyze, identify viable options, and make thoughtful recommendations considering risk and short-term/long-term impact.
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
- Prepare Bank deposits
- Can transition quickly between tasks Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize, organize, and stay on task to meet crucial deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Accounting/GAAP knowledge.
- Experience in the healthcare industry not required, however a plus.
