The Community Services Department is recruiting for one (1) Part-Time Adult Sports Scorekeeperposition for the Adult SportsSoftball program. The hours of work for this position will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00pm to 10:30pm from June through August. Work hours for this position may vary, hours are not guaranteed, and the schedule is subject to change.

Position Information
EXAMPLES OF IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Keeping score of games for assigned adult sport.
- Interact on a professional basis with managers, players, and spectators.
- Setup and clean up necessary supplies and equipment.
- Attend all meetings and trainings related to the sports program.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Keep accurate score of the game.
- Monitor team rosters for eligibility.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Experience:
- A minimum of two years of experience with the sports program.
- Planning, organizing, or playing in the sport.
- Know the basic rules, practices and equipment used in the sport.
- None.
- Attend pre-season mandatory training.
- Must be able to obtain a work permit.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be sitting for the majority of the time but also walking and running. The employee will be expected to clean and maintain the equipment and the facility, and may move throughout the facility/field to get equipment setup and cleaned up. Employee may be working outside in the elements.
- The employee will be working in a busy and occasionally noisy environment. There may be a number of activities and situations happening at the same time. The employee is required to supervise all functions of the sport, managers, and spectators at said sport. Employee should be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.
- Lifting, carrying, and/or pushing 50 pounds or more on occasion.
