INTRODUCTION
This classification performs duties associated with collection and tallying of park registration fees. Performs other related recreation/park duties.

Typical Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge: Knowledge of Parks Department procedures and policies. Basic knowledge of general office practices and procedures including, answering phones, filing, word processing and record keeping.
Skills: Skill in the use of various software systems in word processing such as MS word, Excel. Reservations system software preferred but not required. Skill in operation of office equipment such as copiers, fax machines and shredders. Accurate typing skills.
Abilities: Able to perform arithmetical calculations rapidly and accurately. Able to handle money (making change, balancing receipts, bank deposits, etc.). Able to perform general office/clerical tasks and follow established procedures. Able to meet and deal with the public in a cordial manner. Able to work a flexible schedule (i.e., holidays, weekend, early or late hours).
QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of training, education and experience which provides the ability to adequately perform the duties of the position. Upon hire, a valid Oregon driver's license is required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Supplemental Information
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
Work is performed with immediate supervision from an administrative employee in accordance with established guidelines. The Supervisor introduces assignments by explaining specific instructions. Assignments are routine so that few deviations from established practices are made without checking with supervisor. Work is spot-checked in progress or at completion. Supervisor is available to answer questions.
GUIDELINESWork is performed within the department policies and procedures. Guidelines are closely followed with little need for deviation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTWork is performed in an outdoor office environment in all types of weather, and may require bending kneeling, voice conversation, light lifting and carrying, pulling, pushing, reaching, walking, or extended periods of standing or sitting. Work may be performed in a setting with frequent distractions and interruptions.
Tillamook County offers a generous benefits package to regular employees working 20 hours or more of the regularly scheduled work week.
Part-time regular employees working more than 20 hours but less than 40 hours will receive a pro-rated amount based on their regularly scheduled time.
Employees are eligible for insurance benefits the first day of the month following a full 30 days of employment.
- Health & Prescription Drug Insurance -employees working 37 hours or more per week pay 10% of their total premiums for Regence BlueCross/BlueShield of Oregon medical plan
- Dental Insurance -your choice of ODS or Willamette Dental plans

- Register Park guests and collect fees at County Parks.
- Greet visitors and provide information regarding the Parks system, local area, etc.
- Perform general office duties as assigned that are associated with registration of campers.
- Inspect camping sites routinely to assure camper compliance.
- Collect and record cash payments and make deposits.
- Courier duties as directed by supervisor. Train seasonal staff on reservation software system.
