Duties include operating, inspecting, maintaining and servicing machinery such as small engine and large mowing equipment; working with department staff to diagnose and make repairs; operating welding and cutting equipment; developing a divisional "preventative maintenance" schedule and coordinating preventative maintenance services. Additional duties include delivering fuel to multiple park facilities; measuring fuel tanks; performing daily fuel tank system inspections and preparing daily reports; coordinating divisional "auction" efforts on retirement equipment; acquiring quotes and demonstrations for equipment replacements and procurement; and supervising responsibility for approximately 2-4 employees. A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of mechanical maintenance experience required. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver's license and a CDL with Hazmat endorsement. Normal schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
PAY GRADE GG15 / FULL PAY RANGE $22.41 - $31.60 PER HOUR
