Our company is looking for an experienced Diesel Fleet Field Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operations by installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery, diesel mechanical equipment and diesel vehicles. They will be required to locate sources of problems by inspecting, observing, and utilizing their knowledge to complete needed repairs in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics to determine issues with equipment.
- Perform mechanical repairs as needed.
- Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in the work area.
- Proven experience in fleet operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
- Excellent safety record.
- Capacity to motivate and build morale within the group.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work overtime during the week or on weekends.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Resourceful, well-organized, and dependable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High School or Equivalent.
- 3+ years of prior diesel mechanical experience.
- 3+ years of diesel background.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Basic Mechanics Toolset
- Use personal vehicle or company vehicle.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Managing the equipment maintenance program for our onsite equipment.
- Overseeing internal shop operations.
- Maintaining parts inventory and ordering.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose repairs and delegate accurate work instructions for repairs when necessary.
- Welding
Competencies:
- Understand both general and technical oral and written communications. Knowledge of Spanish, both oral and written, is a plus.
- Time Management: Values time and manages it effectively. Effectively prioritizes and can manage a broad range of activities.

The work environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of working around with or around machinery with exposed moving parts, arrant chemicals, and Heavy Equipment. Exposure to disagreeable weather conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation, lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week
