This individual will deliver instruction and training specifically in the field of health sciences, focusing particularly on the paramedic program. Responsibilities will include conducting lectures, leading laboratory sessions, and overseeing clinical activities within hospital settings.
Education:
-Equivalent combination of education and work experience that qualifies the individual to teach the course. (Minimum)
Experience:
-Training and/or work experience in the instructional area. (Minimum)
Abilities and Skills:
-Effective oral and written communications skills. (Minimum)
-Possession of a valid driver’s license is not required but is desired. Employee in this position possessing a valid driver’s license may be required to drive a College vehicle to a client site in performing the functions of the position. The employee with driving responsibilities would be subject to a motor vehicle check.
Clinical Requirements: RN License required; EMS Experience Preferred; teaching experience preferred; 2 years of clinical experience as an RN.
Lecture/Lab Requirements: Minimum of a graduate of an accredited Paramedic Program; 2-5 years of pre-hospital experience; PA EMS Instructor (preferred); current knowledge of paramedic educational requirements. 2 years’ experience as a paramedic.
-Deliver professional and/or community non-credit education training programs to students. (Essential)
-Maintain accurate attendance records for each program. (Essential)
