Position Summary
The Hill School seeks a full-time Instructor of Mathematics with a start date of August 2024. The primary responsibilities of this professional will be to teach four sections of Mathematics The ideal candidate will be comfortable teaching AP Calculus and adove, with a demonstrated effectiveness in teaching.
Working closely with other members of the department, this teacher will be responsible for classroom instruction, curriculum design, and the ability and desire to model courses around current trends in education while still providing a solid fundamental base. The Hill School's mathematics department has designed its own integrated approach to all mathematics courses leading to calculus and statistics.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Ideally, a candidate will possess at least 3 years of experience teaching mathematics. The teacher will also be expected to undertake responsibilities that are normally associated with a boarding school, such as serving on various school committees and participating in the school's co-curricular and residential programs. Experience and demonstrated success working with diverse student communities is preferred, but not required. A bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Start date for this position is August 2024.
