Event Team Paramedic
Location: Headquarters in Bend, OR

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an EMS provider on our Events Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of participants in various outdoor events. Your responsibilities will include:
Setting up for events, including towing event trailers, onsite tent/clinic setup, vehicle operation, and radio communication
Administer ALS or BLS (depending on level) emergency and clinical care
Keeping event trailers, vehicles, and bags stocked correctly
Operate of inreach, radio, Gaia, and other communication devices utilized for events
Assist with keeping station clean and organized
Safely operate Adventure Medics vehicles, including but not limited to, SUV/Trucks, ATV, UTV
Complete event and patient paperwork accurately and efficiently (before, during and after event)
Liaise with event coordinators, volunteers, and local fire departments in a courteous and professional manner
Perform occasional maintenance on event equipment including bikes, tents, and rescue vehicles
Perform other work-related duties as directed by team lead/supervisor or as the situation requires
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
We hire two classifications of employees for our event positions. Event Team staff and ECL (Event Call List) staff. Both are defined below
Event Team
Staff are required to commit to working every other weekend (with min 2 weeks notice)
Must attend mandatory (paid) monthly training
Can receive gym memberships, certification classes, discount codes (after probationary period)
ECL (Event Call List)
Do not need to commit to a shift weekend and will be called upon as necessary
Optional to attend monthly training
All staff:
Must attend orientation and pass skills + physical fitness test
Travel reimbursement ($23/hr.)
Shifts will be anywhere from 4 - 18hrs
Tentative start date April 1st 2024
Must attend orientation on March 23rd & 24th 2024 in OR or March 9th and 10th in WA
Staff need current Oregon Licensed EMT-Intermediate, Oregon Licensed Paramedic, or Oregon Licensed RN
Uniform provided (Staff to provide own EMS boots)
