Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Small private Issaquah law firm specializing in criminal prosecution is seeking a full or part time Paralegal/Legal Assistant. This position works closely with prosecutors and domestic violence advocate in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment. The primary duties for this position include but are not limited to: acting as liaison with the courts, defense counsel and police officers; intake and record keeping of new cases; preparing calendars, legal documents, and cases for review by the prosecutor; filing documents with the courts; ordering and maintaining evidence for use in prosecution; data entry and retrieval.

Knowledge of Word and Excel and any experience with the Judicial Information System is preferred. Must possess a valid Washington driver’s license and insurance and submit to a criminal background check.

Position will be between 25-35 hours per week and the office is in Issaquah. Pay is hourly and depends on experience. 401 K offered. Medical benefits will not be offered at this time. Flexible hours are available.
