Founded in 2019, RAM Law is a growing three-attorney law firm representing clients in family law, landlord-tenant law, and criminal defense matters. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant in family law, child protection, landlord-tenant law, or criminal defense. Experience with the Minnesota e-filing system preferred.
This position is responsible for assisting the attorneys with researching the law and drafting legal documents, such as Motions, Affidavits, and Proposed Orders. The Paralegal and Legal Assistant positions require a background in law, strong written communication skills and attention to detail. Duties include reviewing documents, answering phone calls, responding to emails, client intake, collecting and analyzing case-related data, creating summaries for the legal team and helping to prepare for upcoming trials. Our fast-paced office values transparency and teamwork, so we look for someone who is a good communicator with a knack for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Gather relevant information from prospective or current clients.
- Communicate with lawyers to discuss legal matters and prepare documents.
- Draft Motions, Affidavits and Proposed Orders.
- Attend Trials as needed.
- Draft correspondence.
- Assist with managing the office, including monitoring calendars and tracking deadlines.
- Meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of quality.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $3,000.00 - $4,500.00 per month
