Job Description

Summary/objective

The Packaging Technician is responsible for various work responsibilities in the Processing/Packaging division.

Essential functions

• Inspect finished product for quality issues
• Advise leadership of quality or compliance issues in a timely manner
• Prepare finished product for lab testing
• Prepare product which has passed its compliance testing for final packaging and shipment
• Maintain accurate records, including those which track labor, inventory, and quality issues
• Verify the accuracy of METRC tags, product labels, and package counts
• Ensure that inventory is properly accounted for, accurately, appropriately identified, and shown in the appropriate location
• Support the shipping process by verifying the correct packages are in each shipment and all labeling is correct
• Assist in various packaging duties: prerolls, concentrate, vape carts, etc.
• Cleans tools, equipment, and workstations as needed
• Other duties as assigned

· The job is performed indoors

· Activities include periods of standing, kneeling, stooping, and bending

Required education and experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with METRC and/or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local requirements regarding the cannabis industry

Preferred education and experience

• Previous cannabis industry working experience

Additional eligibility requirements

• Have a valid driver’s license or state ID
• Must be at least 21 years of age per state law
• Reliable transportation
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Willingness to increase knowledge of the cannabis industry and best practices

BACKGROUND CHECK

CAREGIVER STATUS

According to Medical Marijuana Laws, when a registered primary caregiver is hired as an employee of a grower, processor, or secure transporter, the individual must withdraw registration as a registered primary caregiver in a manner established by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
