Job Description
Summary/objective
The Packaging Technician is responsible for various work responsibilities in the Processing/Packaging division.
Essential functions

- Inspect finished product for quality issues
- Advise leadership of quality or compliance issues in a timely manner
- Prepare finished product for lab testing
- Prepare product which has passed its compliance testing for final packaging and shipment
- Maintain accurate records, including those which track labor, inventory, and quality issues
- Verify the accuracy of METRC tags, product labels, and package counts
- Ensure that inventory is properly accounted for, accurately, appropriately identified, and shown in the appropriate location
- Support the shipping process by verifying the correct packages are in each shipment and all labeling is correct
- Assist in various packaging duties: prerolls, concentrate, vape carts, etc.
- Cleans tools, equipment, and workstations as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Required education and experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with METRC and/or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local requirements regarding the cannabis industry
Preferred education and experience
- Previous cannabis industry working experience
Additional eligibility requirements
- Have a valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must be at least 21 years of age per state law
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Willingness to increase knowledge of the cannabis industry and best practices

CAREGIVER STATUS
According to Medical Marijuana Laws, when a registered primary caregiver is hired as an employee of a grower, processor, or secure transporter, the individual must withdraw registration as a registered primary caregiver in a manner established by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
