Packaging Line Technician

Nu-Wool Co. Inc., a long established, privately owned, leading manufacturer of cellulose insulation and other green products, located in Jenison, MI, has an excellent career opportunity for a Full-TimePackaging Line Technician.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

- Responsible for proper start up and shut down of equipment.

-Monitoring product output and production rates.

- Responsible for finished product quality. This includes but is not limited to the following:

Monitoring finished bag seals to insure bags are sealed completely.

Monitoring cube weights and machine scales to insure bags are within weight tolerance.

Monitoring bag shape and size to insure the bags will stack properly.

-Trouble shooting equipment/product issues.

- Responsible for housekeeping including but not limited to the following:

Keeping sensors, vacuum screens and cooling fan blown off and cleaned

Recycling scrap cubes, Keeping floors swept and free from tripping hazards

Putting tools back in proper location etc.

-Responsible for record keeping including end of shift production data and during shift maintenance logs used to track downtime.

-Responsible for observing all safety procedures and best practices in regards to safe operation of equipment.

-Communication with production and maintenance teams.

-Needs to be Mechanically inclined.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
