WHAT WOULD YOU DO AS A PACKAGING CLERK

As a Packaging Clerk at Solid State Devices, Inc, you can expect to work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm in our La Mirada, CA facility. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include carefully packaging electronic components according to company standards, preparing shipments for distribution, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. You will collaborate with team members to ensure products are handled efficiently and meet requirements. This role offers the opportunity to develop your packaging skills in a supportive and structured manufacturing environment.

ARE YOU THE PACKAGING CLERK WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

To excel as a Packaging Clerk at Solid State Devices, Inc, you'll need to be proficient in MS Excel and MS Word, review orders, communicate effectively, and maintain detailed records. Experience in multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong organizational skills are crucial for coordinating shipments, managing packaging supplies, and creating a comprehensive packaging manual. The ability to work with Formech Equipment to form packaging and collaborate with the Engineering Department to create custom packaging is a key part of the role.

Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in written form, will ensure successful interactions with team members and customers. This position also requires flexibility to provide support as a backup Shipping/Receiving Clerk when needed.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Review new orders to ensure packaging is recognized and verified
• Work with Engineering Department to manufacture custom packaging for product
• Form packaging as needed using Formech Equipment
• Maintain packaging supplies
• Coordinate with Manufacturing/Production Control for daily shipments and outside processing
• Package all products for shipments and outside processing
• Provide as back up for Shipping/Receiving Clerk as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive packaging manual for all product types with detailed photos and instructions for any special Customer requirements
