Packaging Receiving Clerk

SUMMARY

Successfully complete tasks required in the Pre-production/Shipping Area.

Pay Range:  $21.00-$23.00/hr. DOE

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify if frames are straight and in proper shape
• Trace all frame types.  This includes: Hide a bevel, grooved and driller frames
• Modify shapes of frames and trace paper tracings
• Take lenses out of frames and put parts in proper containers.  This includes: Sun clips and frame pieces
• Maintain neatness of workstation
• Calibrate Tracers
• Log tracer machine readings throughout the day
• Invoice Eyewear
• Wrap/ship eyewear according to guidelines
• Prepare shipments for courier pick up
• Follow other tasks as needed in the laboratory environment, which may be out of shipping area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Optical experience is preferred, but not mandatory

Experience

• Computer literate

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• May need to stand and walk for entire shift
• Able and willing to work as a team
• Able to read and write English Language well
• Have good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity, attention to detail and patience
• Work without supervision

Must be available to work Overtime and Saturdays when needed
