Job description

Sales Representative skills and qualifications

  • Customer service skills to listen to the concerns of a non-profit and be able to address their needs
  • Interpersonal skills to work with a wide variety of people each day, build relationships and network
  • Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a presentation
  • Communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of our program to non-profits
  • Physical endurance, as Sales Representatives may need to be on their feet for long hours, spend a lot of time traveling between appointments

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote our program using solid arguments to existing and prospective non-profits
  • Perform cost-­benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential non-profits to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business relationships
  • Reach out to non-profits through cold calling and in person
  • Expedite the resolution of non-profits problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on non-profit needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Representative
  • Excellent knowledge of Google documents, Adobe pdf.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
