Job Description
General knowledge of residential construction is needed as well as the ability to read construction plans. Prior work selling directly to production builders is preferred. Strong phone and email communication as well as the ability to multi-task in a hectic environment is required. A strong sense of urgency and desire to creatively resolve problems is required.
Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret house plans, selections, and specifications.
- Ability to pull information from multiple sources to create concise instructions for support staff.
- Desire to seek out the most efficient and effective way to solve problems and complete tasks.
- Ability to think quickly, make decisions, and direct on-site personnel if needed.
- High quality standards and confidence.
- Good typing, Word and Outlook skills required.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to call builders and homeowners to discuss concerns.
- Excellent organization and time management skills are essential.
- Services existing accounts with necessary custom products, time and information.
- Assist with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.
- Prepare, coordinate and communicate price quotations, terms of sales, delivery dates and service obligations to customers/contractors.
- Resolve customer complaints and problems.
- Assist in the collection of accounts receivable.
- Prepare and input orders as necessary.
- Attend custom builder meetings as necessary.
- Inform company of competitive prices, products and market-related information.
- Estimate materials from blue prints supplied by customer/contractor.
- Sales related experience required In-home and builder-market sales experience is a major plus
- Ability to learn new technologies and products
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- An eye for detail and a proven track-record
- Must be organized and be able to meet deadlines
- Must reliable transportation and valid drivers license.
