Residential Lead Carpenter

FIELD CARPENTER POSITION

JOB DESCRIPTION:

-Execute and deliver remodeling and building projects individually or leading a team of carpenters.

-General carpentry production including remodeling framing, layout, interior and exterior finish work, siding, windows, doors, flooring, tile and cabinetry installation. This may include directing and mentoring of other carpentry staff.

-Installation and layout of high end cabinetry and millwork. Proficiency in trim carpentry is a must.

-Day to day communication and scheduling of subcontractors, troubleshooting on site issues as needed.

-Conduct installations of kitchen cabinetry for cabinet/kitchen designer

REQUIREMENTS:

-Minimum 5 years experience residential remodeling.

-(Preferred) minimum 3 years experience with kitchens and baths. Tile work a plus.

-(Preferred) Experience constructing custom cabinetry in shop environment.

-Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

-Must be able to lift 50+ lbs on a regular basis.

-Clean driver’s license.

-Own hand/power tools

-Live in Dutchess County or surrounding areas. Reasonable commute to shop and job sites in Dutchess and Putnam County.

-Able to pass a drug screening and background check.

-Building construction knowledge as well as advanced finish and rough carpentry skills.

-Hours: Generally 40 +/ hours per week, 7:30am to 4:00 +/ pm, Monday through Friday. Some additional hours are possible.

COMPENSATION:

-Hourly pay between $25 - $35/hr, will commensurate with experience candidate can bring to the team.

-Paid holiday, personal, and sick days earned after 6 months of employment.
