Description
The Columbus Crew is seeking a Coordinator of Marketing Activations to develop and program the Chase Plaza at Lower.com Field both on and outside of matchdays. The Coordinator of Marketing Activations is responsible for planning and executing experiences that generate revenue for the organization, while also providing fans with a memorable and positive interaction with the Crew brand.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Program the Chase Plaza for all Crew home matches, while incorporating the theme nights and providing an engaging atmosphere for attendees.
- Assist in the development and oversight of the Marketing Matchday Activation Internship program including the hiring and scheduling of interns.
- Create and establish new experiences that drive customers to the Chase Plaza on non-matchdays, for example: Watch Parties, Friday Night Concert Series, World Cup activations, etc.
- Develop and maintain relations with Crew clients, season ticket members, supporters, vendors, and staff for marketing and matchday initiatives.
- Assist with the development and execution of engaging pre-match ceremonies and halftime activations that fulfill partner contracts while continuing to identify future opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to plan and execute matchday and non-matchday events and activations successfully.
- Write and compile information for Chase plaza announcements, match Operations Interns scripts, and assist with the development and writing of production script and public address announcements
Required skills, experience & abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields
- Minimum of 1 year experience developing and planning Marketing Activations. Experience within the Columbus market a plus
- High proficiency in building and maintaining positive relationships
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated professionalism with both internal and external audiences
- Able to work independently and with a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Demonstrated ability to lead a large group of staff and/or volunteers
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
