Job Summary and QualificationsWorking as a Medical Assistant for HCA HealthONE hospital, will allow you to collaborate daily with an elite team of healthcare professionals. What you will do in this role:
- You will be responsible for assessing needs of patients and must be able to distinguish between an emergency and non-emergency situation and prioritize accordingly.
- You will document all activities in the medical record neatly and appropriately.
- You will maintain medical equipment and supplies for the clinic, and a professional and workable relationship with providers.
- You will screen and contact potential new patients collecting and documenting information in the office database.
- You will manage the front desk serving as a receptionist welcoming patients and family members in a professional manner, registering patients, verifying insurance, answering phones, scheduling diagnostic studies and other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Nurse Practitioner.
What qualifications you will need for this role:
- Graduate of accredited medical assistance program, MA Certified, equivalent healthcare certification or sufficient previous MA work experience. C.P.R certified
- Graduation from a recognized training facility for Medical Assistants is preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a physician practice is preferred
