POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Organizational Learning and Development Manager will manage all training and organizational development initiatives for VMRC. This position will work closely with department leaders to better understand the Learning and Development needs of each service line and will plan, develop, integrate, and facilitate appropriate programs and initiatives to meet VMRC's business needs. This role will support the New Employee Orientation (NEO) once a month and will be the primary administrator of the online Relias (LMS) Learning Management System for quarterly all Campus Plan training requirements and will also manage the internal 30-day Check-In survey process. This position will review current processes and procedures to assess the need for organizational development/improvements. Will periodically participate in career fairs and community events to provide support in the candidate sourcing process and will manage VMRC social media platforms. The Organizational Learning and Development Manager role is the primary communicator for HR Team campus announcements and internal Blink posts. A self-starter with extreme attention to detail and the ability to create various training presentations is a must.

- Looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (master's degree preferred). ASTD and/or SHRM membership is a plus.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in staff training and organizational development (past leadership experience is a plus).
- Computer experience with extensive experience in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
- Knowledge of and ability to incorporate adult learning theory into daily practice (motivational theory/employee motivation, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience managing organizational change by strategically planning and designing educational programs.
- Knowledge of and ability to incorporate training transfer theories into training practice.
- Ability to use multiple and varied training methodologies in order to meet the training/learning needs of all staff.
- Ability to write or modify curriculum/course content to meet VMRC's unique organizational needs.
- Competency with web-based training, computer set-up, and other audio-visual equipment is required.
- Strong leadership experience with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new industry standards and training.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, willing to be flexible and accommodate changing priorities.
- Pleasant personality, enjoy working with people, have good manners, and be able to deal tactfully with others.
