Job Description
The Compliance Nurse Administrator ensures that the patients booked for surgery at Pure Plastic Surgery have all the resources, staffing and supplies needed for successful preoperative, perioperative, and post operative care. The Operating Room and Clinical Nurse Administrator coordinates the activities of personnel in the operating room; ensures adherence to procedure and schedule. The Operating Room and Clinical Nurse Administrator supervises the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies, and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of safe, effective, direct and indirect, patient centered care through the continuum of perioperative care to include outpatient surgery unit (PACU), preoperative unit, OR, post anesthesia care, sterile processing department, anesthesia services and post op care.
Responsibilities/Duties

Clinic:
- Ensures patients are cleared for surgery in a timely manner by working with the Clinic Manager and the Pre-operative coordinators.
- Manages inventory of supplies, including placing orders with vendors
- Maintains supplies organized including the storage unit clean and orderly and inventory updated.
- Orders breast implants and maintains consignment organized and up to date.
- Ensures clinic compliance with all medical policies and procedures to ensure continues Joint Commission accreditation.
- Maintains overall environmental and safety policies and procedures.
OR:
Management of perioperative services operationally
- Verifies that perioperative personnel provide safe and effective patient-centered care in perioperative services.
- Holds personnel accountable for compliance with established standards.
- Assists personnel in verifying that appropriate equipment and supplies are available.
- Verifies departmental compliance with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards.
Set up the OR schedule for the week and ensure adequate staffing of the cases for the week.
Supervise the preparation of patients for surgery (Pre-Op)
- Testing – drugs, nicotine, pregnancy
- Consents explained & Signed: CosmetAssure, Anesthesia
- IV administered
Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date, including CosmetAssure registration.
Observe OR Flow and provide recommendations for efficiencies.
Sterility:
- Supervise sterility is done properly, check indicators.
- Prepare and supervise sterilization logs.
- Supervise Autoclaves are being maintained, cleaned, used properly, and working properly.
- Checks sterilization records to assure accuracy.
Supervise that all expired medication is not being used and discarded properly.
Assist staff and confirm the proper transporting of Oxygen tanks.
HR:
- Create schedules for staff to ensure that there is proper coverage.
- Screen candidates for new positions/roles and backfills any openings as needed.
- Train new staff.
- Provide backup PACU RN scope of work when necessary.
Compliance
- Ensure all patient charts are documented in compliance with JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Review logs and ensure they are in compliance with JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Review staff documentation and ensure they are in compliance with JCAHO accreditation standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
