Job Description: Clinical Administrator
Position Overview:
The Clinical Administrator will oversee the administrative operations of our clinical department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care delivery. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual who can handle various accounting tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and supervise the day-to-day administrative operations of the clinical department, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
· Oversee and coordinate patient care activities, including appointment scheduling, patient assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Ensure that patient care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
· Oversee the implementation of departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of clinical services.
· Promote patient-centered care and effective communication with patients and their families. Address patient concerns or complaints promptly and ensure a positive patient experience throughout their healthcare journey.
· Collaborate with the provider, administrative staff, and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations and interdisciplinary collaboration. Participate in meetings, committees, and initiatives to contribute to the overall improvement of the office.
· Serve as a liaison between clinical providers and patients, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation related to clinical operations and patient care activities.
· Stay updated on relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, infection control guidelines, and other applicable laws and regulations.
· Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education required, Medical Assistant Certification. (Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field preferred.)
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
