Overview
Seeking an Optical and Transport Lead Test Engineer to join our team in supporting a major client initiative. The candidate will work all aspects of TDM legacy network support and migration/integration with the optical network equipment of DOD’s existing 100G capable global transport network, and expansion to 400G capability. The candidate will work in the lab to test and validate key TDM equipment and its integration with Optical nodes and provide connectivity to various other programs in DISN lab such as MPLS and Secure network transport. As part of a Tier 3 Test Engineering support team, the candidate will support the DISA operations with any operational issues that will have to validated and resolve as chronic issues, requiring lab support, ad-hoc testing, and resolution of chronic issue working in collaboration with the vendor and other Lead Test and design engineers.
