Ophthalmic Technician

We are looking for qualified Ophthalmic Technicians who want to make a difference in their community in an outpatient setting.

Job Responsibilities
- Take Patient Medical, Family, and Medical Histories.
- Measure and Record Visual Acuities, Intraocular Pressures and Refracting Patients
- Perform testing Such as Visual Field, OCT, Disc Photos and IOL Measurements
- Administer Eye Drops
- Order Supplies and Drugs Following Protocols
- Surveys Technical Instruments and Equipment and Arranges for Service Calls
- Prepares Clinic for Routine Readiness Review and Maintains a Clean/Sterile Environment
- Perform Other Duties as Assigned.
Requirements
- Successful Completion of an Accredited Program for Ophthalmic Technician
- 1 Year Experience As An Ophthalmic Technician is a Plus
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills Necessary to Communicate with Patients and All Levels of Staff
- Ability to Work Independently and Productively in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Must Be Detail-Oriented and Highly Organized
