Position Overview
The Roasting Facility Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of product Shipping and Receiving needs at the Dutch Bros Roasting Facility. They are also responsible for various inventory-related activities and maintaining our forklift certification program.
Job Qualifications
- 3 years experience proficiently operating a forklift, required
- Forklift certification, preferred
- Great organizational skills
- Proficient with ERP systems; Microsoft D365
- Proficient with Excel and Google Suite
- Logistics, shipping, and Receiving experience
- Inventory and product organization skills
- Ability to lead instructional classes with small groups of people
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
Location Requirement:
- This position is based in Melissa, TX
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
Ship and receive all products associated with the facility:
- Participates in facility leadership meetings
- Communicate and manage logistic companies to schedule incoming and outgoing freight
- Inspect trailers and product upon receiving of the product (seal intact, damages, potential hazards, etc.)
- Responsible for the accuracy of product and loads being shipped
- Safely, securely, and efficiently load outbound freight
- Enter shipped products into the current tracking system
- Responsible for verification of completed logbooks (forklift)
- Assist as needed in keeping the green bean silos full
- Assist as needed to help with other department's logistic coordination needs
Uphold all Dutch Bros quality and safety standards:
- Certified forklift and MEWP Instructor
- Train and re-certify all new and existing employees in forklift use and safety
- Keep accurate records of employee forklift certifications
- Constant safety evaluations of all equipment and storage areas
- Follow all processes and procedures associated with all company facility safety requirements
- Address all safety concerns as they come up
- Assist with food safety compliance
- Assist in production tracking and reporting (ERP) as needed
- Pull a sample from each incoming green bean load and deliver to Lead Roaster
Conduct Inventory management:
- Manage, coordinate, and perform weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual inventories
- Accurately verify, label, and inventory all products received
- Enter the received product into the current inventory management system
- Properly rotate stock
- Actively manage warehouse space for all on-site inventory organization and traceability
- Responsible for reporting all shrinkage and waste of product throughout the month

Physical Requirements
- Constant standing/walking, up to 10 hours at a time
