Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operation Training Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
The Operations Training Manager will have a crucial role in Woodward's businesses as the person in charge of the overall training strategy. This leader will collaborate with local business unit leaders and training owners in both the aerospace and industrial segments to ensure a consistent approach, metrics, and monitoring of operational, floor-based skills training. Their main responsibility will be to guarantee consistent implementation of training materials, procedures, and manufacturing requirements to achieve optimal production and performance. Additionally, they will build a system to ensure audit requirements are met at all locations. The Operations Training Manager will lead a team of training leaders across the businesses, driving excellence, standards, and productivity through a training strategy and execution. The role will primarily focus on direct labor training for the first 12 months, with a plan to broaden the scope to incorporate targeted indirect labor training. This functional and process leader will be a positive contributor to meeting Woodward's strategic objectives and fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, continuous improvement, operational excellence initiatives, standard processes, and use of metrics for accountability and sustainability.

What you will be doing...
Drives consistent training assessment, design and delivery across production organization
Manages standard content for production training programs and identifies unique training requirements
Provides guidance and recommendations for appropriate training for production members
Creates a matrixed team of operational training leaders to drive results and productivity
Communicates effectively and promotes teamwork and people involvement
Reports on training effectiveness and defects found during audits
Provides support activities as required to meet customer needs
Continuously develops and refines training programs for industry leading material and presentation
Aligns learning goals with corporate strategy
Improves training based on participant feedback and latest trends in learning and development.
What we are looking for...
US-Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in business or related field
Deep manufacturing experience in an aerospace or industrial industry
Lean/Six Sigma training experience
