Operations Technician/Technologist - WH/Inventory & Supplies Specialist $21.75hr
There is a regular full-time Operations Technologist, Inventory & Supplies Specialist position available in JMCRS Warehouse (WH) at our Sacramento Facility reporting to Carlos Fernandez Monreal. This position will build on the foundation obtained as an Operations Technician and will work under general assignment with minimal day-to-day supervision. The Inventory and Supplies Specialist will work with the Supervisor on inventory related projects.
Working under direct supervision, this position is responsible for participating in the acquisition, sanitization, distribution, and minor maintenance of all equipment and supplies required for operation of animal facilities. In smaller work groups the incumbent may be responsible for one or more areas of responsibility as outlined below.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Working with various ERP inventory systems by placing and receiving orders on a daily basis.
- Maintaining, controlling, and transferring inventory is required
- Proper rotation of inventory items using the FIFO system
- Conducting frequent cycle counts and maintaining a high degree of accuracy is a key responsibility
- Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Following prescribed safety regulations
- Independently operates machinery within area
- Operating knowledge of bedding machine.
- Operating knowledge of forklifts (standing/seated).
- Performing prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per P.M. charts.
- Capable of processing and proper recording of BI's.
- Completing tasks as directed by operational schedules with minimum supervision.
Requirements:
- Requires a HS Diploma or GED and 2 years relevant internal or external experience
- Computer skills & knowledge sufficient to move inventory in ERP system on a daily basis
- Must be highly organized
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and customer service skills sufficient to successfully interact with multiple diverse internal customers.
- Employment will require successful completion of references, background check and pre-employment physical.
- Candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays may be required. OT is required as needed.
