Form of workWe are searching for Operations Supervisors, based in Warren, MI, to supervise, direct and coordinate the operations at our JIT warehouse which supports a notable global OEM client. You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, and efficiency through the implementation of effective methods and strategies for your assigned area. We are currently hiring for all shifts within the facility.
Schedule:
- 1st shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:00pm (8hr shift)
- ***Saturday's are Mandatory if scheduled***
- 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm-10:00pm (8hr shift)
- ***Saturday's are Mandatory if scheduled***
- 3rd shift: Monday - Friday 10:00pm-6:00am (8hr shift)
- ***Saturday's are Mandatory if scheduled***

How you will contribute
- Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members; ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials.
- Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics.
- Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
- Ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements.
- Liaise with materials department to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material.
- Other duties as assigned.
Your Key Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Experience supervising in an Automotive, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain/Logistics facility.
- Union shop experience preferred.
- Experience and or training regarding Occupational Health & Safety, 5S and Lean Methodologies preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Quality systems knowledge - to a reasonable level be able to monitor staff performance and costs within the department (including, but not limited to: time-keeping, quality, productivity, etc.)
