EPS Security is looking for a talented individual to join our New Hudson Operations team as an Operations Supervisor.
The Job:
- Supervise work of Technicians by doing at least 3 weekly site surveys to assure Technicians are as efficient to the department goals. Analyze performance of each technician in order to determine effectiveness. Take necessary steps to train coach, and correct performance problems. Use Site Survey Forms as a means of providing metrics to the Installation Manager.
- Act as liaison between customer, subcontractor, and EPS. This may involve reporting changes in job related items/issues that will require appropriate documentation and updates to Sales, Sales Estimators, Technicians, Schedulers and/ or other EPS Teammates.
- Supervise the work of subcontractors and communication to the sub the "EPS Installation and Service Standards".
- Assist Operations Manager with paperwork, reports, metrics and job costing issues in a timely manner as directed.
- Work with Technicians to help determine system layout by examining blueprints and/or building. Involves deciding where and how to run wires and mount equipment to achieve the best coverage.
- Provide technical direction and/or assistance. This may involve troubleshooting problem installations or being available to assist technicians and customers, in diagnosing a problem to determine corrective action.
- Assist Operations Manager in maintaining development plan for each member of field team in pursuit of licenses and certifications.
- Assist with ongoing Training of all Technicians. Provide Tech Support Manager/Corporate Operations Manager topics and items that will require specific product and or manufacture training.
- Work with Operations Manager to provide prompt and personal response to customer complaints. This includes troubleshooting technical problems or explaining the proper operation of a system to the customer. Responsible for making a decision/recommendation to leave the system temporarily down and/or replace old equipment with new equipment after taking into consideration risk or cost to EPS Security.
- Follow billing parameters to determine service billings. Route to Service Billing Administrator for billing. Answer inquiries related to special service billings.
- Assist Sales with customer site walkthroughs and estimating design.
- Drive company vehicle to and from job site. Deliver parts to technicians as needed or requested. Keep vehicle well maintained.
- Acquire a fundamental knowledge of all EPS equipment. This will include attending and participating in EPS training sessions.
- Adhere to "EPS Install and Service Standards", uniform standards, and all other EPS policies. Responsible for enforcement of these policies with field team.
- Perform vehicle and equipment checks with technicians. Responsible for assuring all vehicle reports are completed accurately.
- Perform daily reviews of paperwork submitted by installers, reports provided by coordinators and HR as well as other data used to effectively manage the field team.
- Must be available for senior on-call duty as scheduled.
Requirements
Your Skills:
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in UL and FM as well as card access CCTV lines that EPS carries.
- Must achieve and maintain FAST Certification/ or Electrical License.
- Analytical ability required to review blueprints/building plans on large jobs and determine most effective layout of system.
- Effective Interpersonal skills necessary to verbally communicate with customers and co-workers.
- Ability to drive company vehicle and be insurable under fleet policy required.
- In depth knowledge of company and department policies, procedures, and operation requirements.
- Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
