POSITION: OPERATIONS MANAGER
The Prospector is seeking an Operations Manager to assist in driving its mission. Through this operation, the Prospector enables a wide audience of movie-goers to create meaningful relationships with, and business opportunities for, people with disabilities in their communities. The Prospector demonstrates that people with disabilities are valuable and employable contributors to society. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all individuals within The Prospector both embody and drive this mission and are responsible for balancing the mission and operation on a daily basis.
Relationships & The Community:
- Ensure that the Prospector Theater is a premier venue for the enjoyment of entertainment and the arts for all guests.
- Forge new connections with theater staff by being an active presence in the theater.
- Retain consistency of excellent service by engaging guests before and after movies.
- Support the Senior Operations Manager by completing new and existing tasks as they decide are necessary.
Management:
- Support Prospects and all areas of the theater during service to ensure punctuality and that all guests are happy.
- Oversee the supervision and teaching of the Prospects to ensure daily success.
- Work with individual members of the team to coach them towards constant improvement and growth in their job performance and interpersonal experiences.
- Ensure that The Prospector is providing excellent customer service in all aspects of its operation.
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's); drive continuous improvement of SOP's.
- Coach, counsel, train, and identify disciplinary issues of Prospects.
- Evaluate on-the-job performance of Prospects.
Operations/IT:
- Balance projection booth operations with day to day duties.
- Maintain the cleanliness and accessibility of the theater for the safety and well-being of Prospects and guests.
- Deliver a comfortable, distraction-free, and picture-perfect entertainment experience through auditorium and booth evaluations.
- Ensure all content has been ingested, built and unlocked prior to a performance.
- Update and maintain all technical assets of the theater including website and digital signage.
- Solve and troubleshoot technical problems efficiently.
- Inspect technical equipment prior to the business day in order to ensure proper working order.
- Work with the Senior Operations Manager to complete any necessary duties.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer focus and positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to work with people with various disabilities.
- Experienced in and comfortable with POS systems and IT.
- Ability to open and close out a business day of the theater.
- Team player – has shown the ability to lead, support, and coach others.
- Outstanding communication skills in multiple settings/situations – especially in demanding/stressful situations.
- Physical stamina– able to stand/sit for a full 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to balance the mission and operations of the theater simultaneously.
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Compensation:
- Wage Range: $50,000-$55,000/Salary
