In This Role
- Lead and supervise daily operations across our Austin and Buda warehouses, directing activities to ensure smooth functioning and optimal efficiency
- Limit inventory risks throughout operation by ensuring:
- All department processes and procedures are followed and updated, as needed
- Building security processes and procedures are followed and CTPAT compliant
- Regular cycle counts and audits occur
- Monitor and maintain all trucks and warehouse equipment to include PM schedules, DOT files, and carrier requirements
- Establish and report on warehouse metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Work cross-functionally with the People & Culture team to manage hiring, training, and supervision of warehouse operations staff
- Establish goals, operational procedures, objectives, and position responsibilities for direct reports
- Analyze operations and develop, recommend, and implement continuous operational improvements
- Own local vendor relations and contract negotiations
- Establish, meet, track and report on operational budgets and goals
- Support compliance efforts for all local and federal agencies including but not limited to OSHA, TWC, AFD and the City of Austin alongside the People & Culture and Facilities teams
- Manage work schedules according to fluctuating customer demand
- Maintain a positive and safe working environment for employees Ensure cleanliness is ingrained in warehouse culture

The Ideal Person
- Bachelor’s degree required or 10+ years in Distribution Management experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse distribution required
- Able to manage, lead and develop operational staff
- Able to effectively interact with all aspects of the business
- Proactive and decisive leader with excellent communication skills
- Solid financial and analytical skills including sound business judgement
- Passionate advocate for continuous improvement and customer service
- Highly developed and disciplined in work ethic, accountability and follow through
- Superior organizational skills
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Furniture experience is a plus
- Third-party logistics experience a plus

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
