As an Operations Manager for our Huntsville operation, you will serve as the company's ambassador to our valued customers, enhancing client relationships and supporting the management of our workforce and commercial division. You will be the go-to expert in landscaping and maintenance, responsible for overseeing and coordinating all customer contracts and projects, ensuring quality control, timely completion within budget, and maintaining relationships with superintendents, sub-contractors, and vendors across all sites. Your role encompasses scheduling, employee management, divisional strategy and planning, departmental budgeting, and day-to-day operations. You will act as the primary contact with customers, and either handling in the case of maintenance or conveying their expectations to the Project Manager/Estimator in the case of construction. Your top priorities include maintaining a safe work environment, delivering high-quality work, and meeting customer needs and expectations while optimizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will have the support of an admin position to assist in the daily operation of the office.

- Leading and overseeing assigned job sites.
- Conducting safety briefings.
- Successfully completing contracted and ongoing tasks with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, safety, and accountability.
- Responding promptly to emergencies as needed.
- Reporting equipment issues, unsafe conditions, and accidents to the Manager of Safety without delay.
- Accurately and promptly complete all necessary documentation and review/correct timesheets.
- Train, develop, and assess all team members in Commercial Landscape.
- Enforcing existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify opportunities for SOP enhancements.
- Maintaining weekly communication with the General Managers and Project Managers concerning all aspects of assigned job sites.
- Collaborate on daily planning with foremen and crews.
- Ensuring the availability of safety equipment and assign tools.
- Safely operate company vehicles, following company safety policies and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Competently operate equipment in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Run all daily scheduling.
- Leading operational meetings.
- Facilitate discussions on job costing with the project managers and or account managers.
- Maintaining accuracy in daily timesheets, work tickets, job costs, and inventory counts.
- Maintaining Huntsville facility and any required maintenance.
Minimum Education or Training Required
- Skill in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong command of Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and other software.
- Background in customer relationship management and employee management.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years landscape operational experience
- A proven track record in successful task management
