Job Description:
As the NDT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our non-destructive testing operations. You will lead a team of technicians, manage projects, ensure compliance with industry standards, and uphold our commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of NDT technicians and inspectors.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
2. Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee NDT projects from initiation to completion.
- Allocate resources, set project timelines, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Quality Assurance:
- Develop and implement quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of NDT inspection and testing.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with industry regulations and client requirements.
4. Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding NDT projects.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
5. Resource Management:
- Manage equipment, materials, and personnel effectively to optimize operational efficiency.
- Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair activities as needed.
6. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all NDT operations adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among team members.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within NDT operations.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
8. Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive reports documenting NDT findings, inspection results, and project outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, personnel training, and project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant NDT methods (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in NDT operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of NDT techniques, equipment, and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
