JOB SUMMARY
The Operations Intern will use continuous improvement concepts to identify manufacturing standards, best practices, and work with other business functions to maximize performance. This person will also assist in ensuring that all products and processes meet quality standards working with department head in developing and implementing quality control measures in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
WORK RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Collaborates across functions to ensure consistent implementation of new, improved processes.
- Establishes measurable criteria to ensure desired results are obtained and provides management with updates via tracking reports reflective of Key Performance Indicators in line with set priorities and timing target.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Create and maintain accurate specification drawings for all products.
- Perform quality audits to identify areas of improvement and develop corrective action plans as necessary.
- Assist in conducting employee training on quality control procedures and policies.
- Collaborate with managers to ensure that all products meet customer specifications and expectations.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to track quality characteristics and trends.
- Manage the documentation of all quality assurance activities including procedures, policies and records.
- Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with all statutory, regulatory and safety requirements.
- Initiate and participate in process improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by direct supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a sophomore or higher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, data science, or related field.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPECTATIONS
- Experience in Production Scheduling or Related Field preferred
- Strong Communication and collaboration skills, with the ability work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with computers/software

Must have the right to legally work in the United States.
Must have transportation to and from work. Housing offered if needed.
