The Foundation accomplishes its work through grantmaking, programs, and events in our Community, Music, Global and Civic Programs.
Job Description:
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily operations and for the orientation and onboarding of new members at the Music District. This position is responsible for ensuring the rooms, gear, and staffing needs have been arranged to support daily activities, member reservations, and programming, and is also responsible for daily communication of activities and operational needs to all on-duty staff. This position is responsible for the administration of the membership platform to maintain current member records and address user issues that may arise within the platform and will provide the best possible experience to the Music District core community, its members and its guests. This role reports to the Operations Manager and will act as the shift lead, as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
· Three years’ experience in office management capacity or related/equivalent experience while working with a diverse organization and individuals.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
· The ability to work gracefully and cooperatively under pressure.
· Excellent communication and time management skills.
· Ability to work a flexible schedule including late nights (~10pm) and weekends.
Preferred attributes include:
·Current or previous experience as a musician is strongly preferred.
· A flexible and open-minded spirit and openness to both new and traditional ideas.
· A belief in the transformative power of music.
Physical requirements: ability to stand, kneel and/or crouch periodically, walk up and down stairs, work in varying physical environments, ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs. as necessary during the normal flow of the day-to-day workload preferably unassisted, as needed.
The minimum starting rate for this position is $26.44 per hour. All regular, full-time employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness benefits, retirement savings and company match.
