Job Description:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• As a Shipping Specialist at Sassy Jones, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include:
• Print daily sales receipts and cross-check with computer software to ensure accuracy, ensuring that our customers' orders are processed efficiently.
• Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise. Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise. Arrange transportation for products to ensure safe and timely delivery.
• Prepare and print shipping labels corresponding to shipping needs, ensuring that each package is properly labeled and ready for dispatch.
• Assemble and fill boxes and cartons with items for shipping, adhering to Sassy Jones' high standards of quality and presentation.
• Affix proper postage to each package, ensuring that packages are ready for pickup by carriers.
• Track inventory and report any shortages to the sales team, facilitating accurate updates to our website to enhance customer experience.
• Shipping Coordination: Process orders based on the buyer's preferred shipping system (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx). Contact carriers and schedule shipping for each package.
• Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area, updating supplies as needed to support efficient operations.
• Other job-related duties as needed

Required Skills:

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A professional demeanor, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment in maintaining the confidentiality of information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to support your daily tasks.

Required Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in warehouse/shipping support preferred, but not required for the right candidate with a strong desire to learn and grow.
