Job Title: Operations Associate

Location: New York City, 10065

Full time role.

As an Operations team member, you will:

• Ensure proper movement of product in/out including, but not limited to, incoming and outgoing shipments, transfers, consignments, and movement throughout departments while maintaining quality control and preventing stock losses
• Participate in quality control processes, including data collection of weights and measures, hallmarks, and product condition
• Learn and master jewelry inventory software system
• Proactively engage in inventory control processes (i.e., product sorting and vault organization, weekly open consignment reviews and annual inventory)
• Exhibit strong communication and problem-solving skills by partnering effectively with sales, production, and accounting teams
• Continue to develop your understanding of fine jewelry and timepieces, from historical design aspects through gemological knowledge, to collect accurate data and convey information to the sales team

Education and Experience:

• Four-year college degree in a business or jewelry-focused major, or two years directly related industry experience
• Luxury goods or jewelry retail experience preferred
• Basic gemological and diamond knowledge preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Must be available to work in office with the possibility of occasional travel to provide operational support
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
• Comfortability with examining jewelry under loupe
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills are required
• A strong background using Excel
• Collaborative approach with a “can do” attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Strong understanding of high-touch client service needs and priorities
• Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning, sharing knowledge and contributing to a growing company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
