We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team and lead the development of software for Operational Technology and material handling systems. You will be responsible for managing a team of software engineers, overseeing the design, implementation, testing, and deployment of software solutions, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. You will also collaborate with other engineering managers, product managers, and stakeholders to align the software development with the business goals and needs. Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
Planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and systems
Managing the software development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and deployment
Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and feedback to the software engineers
Collaborating with other teams, stakeholders, and internal customers to understand the requirements and expectations
Evaluating and implementing new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve the software quality and performance
Qualifications:
To be a successful Software Engineering Manager, you should have:
A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a variety of languages and platforms
At least 2 years of experience in managing software engineering teams
Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, practices, and patterns
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
A passion for learning and innovation
Must be willing to travel up to 50%
Must have flexible work schedule for nights/weekends as needed
