We are looking for an Electrical Technical Specialist to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!

What you will work on:
- Providing process improvements to safely meet Warrick Operations' business plan.
- Functioning as a problem solver, applying theory and experience to develop process improvements and correctly identifying problems by submitting sound recommendations for long-term improvements of equipment and processes.
- Leading and participating in process improvements with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production.
- Mentoring employees to increase their knowledge of equipment and process.
- Working to eliminate waste through reliability improvements and monitoring processes, ensuring they are in control and meeting expectations.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis
- Equipment reliability team meeting to review downtime data, scrap data, predictive technologies, and OEE.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance supervisors, planners, production technical assistance, and electricians.
- Improve mean time between failure and reduce mean time to repair by applying lean concepts focusing on waste reduction and throughput.
- Improve maintenance related downtime.
About you:
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution or 5 years of experience in an Electrical technical role.
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience with PLC's, HMI's, AC/DC drives & motors, low & medium power distribution.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in leading, managing, and executing electrical projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Maintenance experience within an industrial environment.
- Experience in Root Cause Problem Solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Warrick Operations experience
