Position Summary
Samsung Electronics America has an Operation Senior Finance Manager position available in our Coppell, TX office.
• Responsible for reviewing business and financial activities to manage and support MPC(Mobile Production Center) Division operations through contract review and negotiation, Financial P&L, and Budget control including month-end closing and P&L forecast
• Responsible for the internal business control functions including the developing, implementing, and evaluation of policies, procedures, and standards within Mobile Production Center Division, focused on MX RB(Refurbish) repair service.
• Determine service levels and enhancements; develop and monitor the Service and Operations budgets; provide advice and recommendations to other departments.
• Evaluate, prepare, and present performance reports of MPC(Mobile Production Center) and its partner companies.
• Cultivates, facilitates, and maintains working relationships within all levels of organization. Establishes and Monitors performance metrics for the organization.
• Serves as Project Champion in many cross-divisional process improvements for the reduction of costs and the enhancement of efficiency throughout all processes.
Role and Responsibilities
Job Description:
  • Perform monthly closing, financial/operational forecasting(TP), inventory & budget control, and establish yearly management plan for Division
  • Conduct quantitative analysis of various information affecting business decisions of the MPC or to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop financial ROI analysis on various operational projects and present key insights to MPC organizations
  • Identify, develop, and drive business cases resulting in the achievement of increased revenue/reduced costs and profitability
  • Performs strategic planning and financial analysis, including assisting in the preparation of specialized project budgets including staffing and operational needs.
  • Review & approve PUMI, purchase orders, operation expense, contract, inventory adjustment, and investment of MPC Division
  • Negotiates, develops, monitors, and administers a variety of contracts and agreements.
  • Works with management team members to prepare cost analysis, budgets, project plans, and related management or progress reports to identify performance and successful achievement of objectives or variances.
  • Perform business review to identify and implement cross-divisional process improvements for achieving cost reduction target
  • Develops executive managerial reports to assist in the decision-making of the MX RB service
  • Resolve, track, and follow Ad-hoc reports

Skills and Qualifications
Experience Requirement:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting or engineering. MBA degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in finance/accounting, business control, management, strategy, and analytics, customer service, device or quality engineering in mobile and service industry
  • Process gap analysis and ability to drive process improvements across MPC organization
  • Experience working/communicating with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate effectively and drive decisions with ambiguous or incomplete data and manage supply volatility

Necessary Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent corporate finance/accounting/math/verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration with diverse groups and stakeholders
  • Team and results-oriented, but able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced work environment
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
