What You Will Do:- Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processes including cooling towers, chemical pumps and other Water Systems in accordance with established procedures.
- Collect and perform laboratory testing on water samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Comply with all OSHA and Company Safety Programs and requirements.
- Handle general maintenance and upkeep around the chemical plant to ensure well-kept work environment.
- Maintain log book, data entry in log sheets, and weekly summaries to internal and external teams.
- Maintain specialty & commodity chemical inventories, receive deliveries and transfer products as needed.
- Visual inspections of plant Water Systems & equipment.
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance as required.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience in industrial Operations or Maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous Experience in Industrial Water / Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance,
- Familiarity with basic Laboratory Procedures and Equipment
- State of Arkansas Water or Wastewater Treatment Certification
- College level education in technology, engineering, chemistry, biology, or environmental studies, up to a Bachelor's Degree level
- Knowledge and understanding of basic plumbing and chemical safety procedures
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Physical Demands:- Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearing
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
- Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather.
