Job Description
GMI Computing is dedicated to process improvements and demands the best from our Team in the blockchain industry. We are seeking top talents who are passionate and determined to write new history. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician with the passion to build and maintain our Arkansas mining farm. As a part of the facility’s management team, this role will support the daily operational activities including various duties of installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring hardware.
Key Accountabilities
● Supervise operations consistent with company goals and objectives
● Oversight of servers, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
● Ensure efficiency on shelf rate, hash rate and other performance indicators
● Monitor and diagnose downtime issues to ensure uptime efficiency
● Installation and maintenance of equipment (lift 40-60 lbs)
● Cross-functional communication with Mining Team and Executive Team
● Ensure daily management for safety and operational efficiency of the mining farm
● Schedule regular inspections on key electricity, network equipment and ASIC machines
● Promote loss prevention with safety/risk management policies
● Deterrence of power outages or malicious attacks
● Reporting practice with key metrics of Mining Farm operations
Qualifications
● 1+ years experience in an IT role or a proven ability to provide a high level of skilled support
● Superior communications skills with the ability to interact, converse, and share ideas effectively with a wide range of people, internally and externally
● Valid driver's license - may need to travel from site to site
● High school diploma
● 2 years of relevant technical experience in the commercial or industrial fields
● Good understanding of Microsoft Office, inventory management systems, and machine monitoring software
● Hard worker, result-oriented, and willingness to learn quickly
● Ability to lift over 30lbs and perform strenuous physical tasks
● Must be reliable and punctual
● Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate tasks such as progress, plans, timelines, requirements, etc.
● Demonstrate broad conceptual judgment, initiative, and ability to deal with safety issues
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekends only
