Skills/Competencies/Qualifications:
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in online instruction in higher education, preferably in a career-focused setting
· Professional verbal and written communication skills
· Attention to detail
· Effective problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and within a team
· Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, a Learning Management System such as Canvas, and a Student Information System such as CampusVue
· A minimum of a Master’s degree is required. An official transcript from all higher education institutions is required.

Position Summary:
The Online Faculty Support Specialist (FSS) provides day-to-day support of the online general education and allied health faculty teaching in hybrid programs (referred to as “Online Faculty” throughout this document). The FSS, under the supervision of the Director of Online Faculty Support (DOFS), provides Online Faculty with the information and guidance needed to ensure EA policies and standards are upheld. Such support will help to develop faculty in their instructional delivery and effectiveness,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Classroom Monitoring and Outreach
o Monitors classroom for Online Faculty presence, course set up, engagement, instructive feedback, and grades.
o Provides initial outreach to Online Faculty regarding missed deadlines or course expectations.
o Determines what additional support may be needed to ensure expectations are met. Escalates to DOFS as needed.
o Prepares and maintains monitoring tools (such as trackers) to document findings.
· Faculty Coaching/Development
o Supports faculty by communicating process, policy, and curricular updates.
o In collaboration with the DOFS, establishes and implements coaching plans for faculty as needed.
o Contributes to Online Faculty development initiatives within the department.
· Processes and Compliance
o Supports Online Faculty in executing academic policies and processes.
o Maintains and supports the development of Online Faculty resources.
o Assists in the maintenance of Online Faculty files. Ensures files are current, complete, and accurate.
o Supports Online Faculty scheduling procedures.
o Supports online operations staff in assigned project-based work.
· General
o Maintains strong, collaborative, and professional relationships with team members, faculty and key stakeholders related to hybrid programs.
o Comply with EA academic policies and procedures.
o Other duties as assigned.
