Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Our Endoscopy department performs between 350-450 procedures per month. The RN will perform conscious sedation and learn the RN role to assist the physicians during endoscopy procedures (colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, EUS) and bronchoscopies.
The incumbent is a professional who provides and supervises care to individuals and families. Utilizing a holistic approach, the registered nurse provides patient and family care based on the nursing process and consistently provides a safe and confidential environment throughout the delivery of care. As a professional, the registered nurse is responsible for providing leadership and maintaining personal professional development.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Current CA RN licensure
- One year of Endoscopy experience in an acute care setting as a Registered Nurse is required. Work experience must be within the last 1-2 years to qualify.
- BLS & ACLS from the American Heart Association
- AHA PALS and Procedural Sedation required within 3 months of hire
- Other certs may be required
- Must work at least one (1) shift per four week pay period to maintain competencies
- Must sign up for at least three (3) standby assignments per week
Pay Range
$63.38 - $76.97 /hour
