Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Special Agent In Charge, the Office Technician (OT) utilizes computer programs to edit, format and prepare investigative reports from written documents or dictated tapes; types case reports, general correspondence, and memoranda; orders supplies and screens and routes incoming calls. The OT enters investigative information to assign case numbers; opens and closes cases; creates and maintains case log spreadsheets in Excel, sets up new case file folders as well as general filing. The incumbent makes travel arrangements; processes travel claims, time sheets, and enters dates into computer programs; gathers data and prepares easy to read charts, graphs, spreadsheets and reports for management. The OT maintains the calendar for the Special Agent In Charge, schedules appointments; ensures calendar items are placed on the calendar; prepares monthly Evidence Cash Fund Audit Report and files investigative reports in case files and appropriate casino or cardroom files.

Special Requirements

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section).
